The Quil Ceda Creek Casino will be replaced by a new $100 million casino.

The Tulalip Tribes are behind the project.

Unofficially, the new casino is being called QCC2.

The casino will be 100,000 square feet. There will also be a parking garage with space for 1,200 cars.

This will be a second casino to compliment the tribe's other casino located 3 miles away. That casino is the Tulalip Resort Casino. QCC2 will be a third of the size of the Tulalip casino.

The design for the new casino will be to attract local people. It will have heavy influence on dining and entertainment that is popular for the area. Exact details for the design have not been released. However, it is known that QCC2 will have food court setting that will offer gourmet menus with affordable pricing.

Money earned from the casino projects benefit members of the tribes. It also help tribal programs for healthcare, senior care, and education.

Ground will be broken on the casino project later this year. It is estimated that it will be completed by the end of 2018 or the start of 2019.
