$300 million a year is paid to Rhode Island by the Twin River casino. When a slot parlor opened in Massachusetts it was estimated that as much as 10 percent of revenue could be lost.
In three months the loss of revenue from slot machines has equaled nearly 9 percent.
Twin River has a billboard located yards away from the entrance of the Plainridge casino. The billboard advertises live table games which Plainridge does not operate.
Customer input for the Twin River casinos is important to the company. Improvements have been made due to their requests. The non-smoking area now has more table games in Lincoln. Also starting in December, poker will be added.
Twin River is also trying to relocated the Newport Grand to Tiverton.
