PHILADELPHIA - SugarHouse Casino has petitioned the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board to add 42 table games to its original plan.

A casino spokeswoman, Leigh Whitaker, said Friday the table games would include blackjack, craps, roulette, mini-baccarat and three types of poker.

A spokesman for the gaming board, Doug Harbach, said a public hearing will be scheduled in Philadelphia to take testimony on the petition.

Before making a decision the board will review the casino's financial ability to add table games and pay for a license, as well as how it will hire and train employees.

The state's license fee for operating table games is $16.5 million.

SugarHouse Casino is expected to open in September.
