A ground breaking ceremony was on on Thursday for the Indigo Sky Casino
expansion. The project will cost $34 million to complete. Nearly 30 people were
in attendance for the ceremony.
The project was announced last month by the Eastern Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma.
Plans include a new kitchen facility and larger dining room. As well as adding
128 guest rooms to the hotel. There will also be a 600 seat event center.
Some of the current parking spaces will be removed to make room for the expanded
50 percent of the money from the casino goes directly to tribal members.
