WEST SILOAM SPRINGS, OK - Cherokee Nation Enterprises (CNE) announced plans to build a hotel on their casino property here. The 8-story hotel will have 140-luxury guest rooms and cost $25 million.

The hotel is in addition to the current expansion of their casino.  The $83 million construction project will increase the casino size by 200,000 square feet to an overall size of 312,000 square feet.  The new space will be used to add 30 new poker tables and other table games.  There are currently 20 tables.

The existing casino will remain open during construction which will be finished later this year.

"The market is booming with a strong regional draw, especially for entertainment, dining and hospitality of this nature," said David Stewart, chief executive of Cherokee Nation Enterprises,. "Along with the planned widening of Highway 412, we expect the expansion of this property to spur additional investment and growth."

The new hotel and the casino expansion will create 500 new jobs in addition to the current 450.
