The Turning Stone Resort and Casino is celebrating its 17th anniversary. The Oneida Nation, whom owns the casino resort, is planning special events starting July 21. This will include throughout the weekend giveaways, entertainment, and special contests.

One of the planned promotions is the Sizzlin' Summer Giveaway. This is a scan to will game planned for July 25th. $20,000 in prizes will be given away. Instant prizes are planned between 1PM and 8PM. At 9:30PM will be a grand prize drawing for a new 2010 Chevy Colorado truck. Or a $10,000 cash award.

There will also be a $17,000 Multi-Game Tournament. This will take place on July 21st, and start at 5:30PM. Participants will receive a $50 preloaded free play game card. The game card can be used during the tournament, or after in the casino. Also on July 21st, at 1PM Gimmie, Gimmie Gifts Giveaway will begin. Diamond Cardholders can scan their cards at the promotions Desk to earn free gifts. On July 22nd, the Anniversary Prize Wheel will spin from 10AM to 5PM. This will also take place at the Promotion Desk. Diamond Cardholders that visit the Turning Stone Resort and Casino on July 23rd and earn 17 karats will be given $25 in free play. From July 22 to 25th, will be the Poker Player Bailout Weekend. The tournament has a $30 buy in with a $20,000 prize pool and over $10,000 in live game giveaways.

Live entertainment is also planned. The Showroom on July 22 will host George Thorogood. July 24th visitors can enjoy Rick Springfield. Visitors that attend the shows will receive $17 of free play from the Diamond Card Desk just by showing their tickets.

Many changes have been made since the Turning Stone first opened. It is now known as a world class resort with gaming, entertainment, golf, spa, and accommodations.
