Monday will be the opening of the Navajo Nation's third casino. Located near Farmington, officials for the tribe stated that they are hopeful that the new casino will help the local economy.

The Northern Edge Navajo Casino is 86,000 square feet building. Guests will be able to enjoy 10 live table games as well as 6 poker tables. There will also be 750 slot machines. Other amenities at the casino include a food court, a restaurant, and a gift shop.

Many cultural elements that are important to the Navajo people were added to the building. Guests will see a mural of a Navajo constellation. The ceiling has also been decorated in a weaving pattern to symbolize the Navajo's weaving tradition.

The Northern Edge Navajo Casino employees 374 people full time.
