The gaming industry in Mississippi reported an increase in revenue for April.
That could also predict a strong summer for the coastal casinos.
Last month's revenue report was released by the state's gaming authority.
Gulf coast casinos have been consistent in growing revenue. Last month the gross
revenue was close to $98 million. In comparison to last year, that was an
increase of 3 percent. April of 2015 reported a revenue close to $94 million.
As of now, the casinos have reported a gross revenue increase of $20 million
compared to this time last year.
