On December 5th there was a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new tower at the
Treasure Island Resort and Casino. The tower adds 306 guest rooms. The original
tower has 482 guest rooms.
The additional tower makes the casino resort the second largest hotel in the
state.
Views of the Mississippi River and surrounding areas can be seen from the upper
floors. Guestrooms feature special lighting, Hi-Def televisions, and rain
showerheads in walk-in showers.
The lobby of the hotel offers Island Perk. A place where guests can enjoy
coffee, fresh baked pastries, sandwiches, and salads.
$68 million was spent on the expansion project.
