DETROIT - As part of its $332 million expansion project Greektown Casino has
opened 25,000 square feet of new gaming space with 600 new slot machines. That
increases the gaming floor to 100,000 square feet and the number of slot
machines to 2,600. Another 400 slots will be added when Pantheon Club
renovations are completed in November. The Pantheon Club is moving from the
second floor to the ground floor.
Greektown completed its $220 million first phase of expansion last November when
it opened its attached parking garage. The $332 million second phase is on
schedule to open two new lounges and a buffet restaurant by the end of this year
and open its 400-room hotel in early 2009.
