The first casino in Massachusetts has not done well and the Plainridge Park owners are complaining.

A letter was sent to the gaming regulators for the state by the Penn National Gaming CEO, Timothy Wilmott. He believes that since the casino opened that the media had only given negative press.

The gaming venue opened in July and reported $18.1 million in revenue that month. Since that time, it has steadily declined reporting an earning of $11.3 million in December.

The company has 27 locations. Of those, Plainridge Park slot machines are the highest revenue earners.

In 2018 two other casinos are going to open.
