A new address to match the new Plainridge Park Casino is in the works. The casino will be first expanded gaming facility in the state.

The casino is scheduled to open next week and is hoping to have the driveway renamed by then.

The current address is 301 Washington St. If approved, the new address will be 777 Plainridge Park Boulevard.

The license that was awarded to Plainridge lists the current address. Joseph Fernandes, the Town Administrator, is unsure if the new address would cause a an issue with the gaming license.

The post office and the state Gaming Commission will need to give approval for the address change.

June 24 is the official opening date. The casino cost $125 million to develop. There will be 1,250 slot machines in operation.
