Visitors to the new casino in Plainville will have the chance to test a new
betting system. The system will allow for betting limits to be set by gamblers.
Penn National Gaming operates the Plainridge Park Casino where the new system
will be tested.
A certain dollar amount will be predetermined by the player. The amount can also
be set for a predetermined time. Such as for a day, a month, or even during the
current gaming session.
Players will see a message on the gaming monitor that notifies them when the
limit is close to being met. It will also inform them when the limit has been
met. As well as when the betting has gone past the limit. At each notification,
the player will need to acknowledge that the message was seen before they can
continue with playing.
This is a test that if successful, may become mandatory in all state casinos.
The Plainridge Park Casino is set to open in June 2015.
