"PALMER, Mass. (WWLP) - A new survey shows support for a casino in Palmer is growing."
"64 percent of residents want Mohegan Sun to build a resort casino in their town."
"UMass Dartmouth interviewed 523 residents for the poll."
"A casino bill still has to be introduced and voted in the state senate."
"But, Lt. Governor Tim Murray told 22News if it passes, town support will impact whether Palmer is chosen as a location."
"'At the end of the day I think that if the bill comes forward and it's ultimately signed by the governor it's going to be based upon competitive bidding and communities, whether they want it or not, who's willing to pay the highest amount for the license, and have they addressed the concerns in that community,' said Murray."
"The Lt. Governor and Governor both support adding three instead of just two casinos in the state."
