MAINE - The Maine Morning Sentinel reported: "Voters will likely spend at least

"A group that wants to build a casino and another seeking to ban slot-machine gambling will send their proposals to statewide referendums in 2008 and 2009, organizers said.
"...Evergreen Mountain Enterprises has collected around 64,000 signatures, more than the 55,087 needed to force a statewide referendum on the casino proposal next November, organizer Seth Carey of Rumford said Sunday.
"Meanwhile, No Slots For ME!, the group behind the ban effort, plans to put its proposal on the November 2009 ballot..."
