The Mojito Point casino project may be managed by a new company. The Louisiana
Gaming Control Board is positioning to grant permission for the Ameristar
Casinos to take over.
Currently plans are being made by the Las Vegas based company to buy Creative
Casinos of Louisiana. Approval of the sale has already been given by the Port of
Lake Charles. The state's gaming control board still needs to give final
approval for the sale to occur.
If the approval is given, Ameristar is making plans to start construction within
100 to 200 days. In order to do this the company will need to ask for an
extension for the build.
