Midwest Gaming and Entertainment has yet to release the name of the new Des Plaines Casino. While the public waits for the public announcement, "Local Journal & Topics Newspapers" decided to hold a contest. They interviewed people on the streets to suggest names for the new casino. Some names included "The Destiny Casino", "O'hare Casino", and "River Royale Casino".

Name suggestions will be published as they are submitted. Local Journal and Topics Newspapers will be awarding the three most popular name suggestions with restaurant gift certificates. To enter the contest please contact the paper and remember to include your name, address and phone number.

Midwest Gaming applied for the 10th Illinois casino license in December 2008. The new property is designed to be a world class gaming and entertainment destination. Located in Des Plaines on 20 acres at the northwest corner of Des Plaines River Road and Devon Avenue. The first phase of the casino build will host a 43,000 square foot casino floor, 30 table games, over 1000 slot machines, and convenient parking. The scheduled opening is September 2011.
