ROCK ISLAND - As construction workers finish pouring the fifth floor of the
new Jumers Hotel and Casino, officials said this week the $150 million
development project is on schedule for opening early next year.
"It's in really good form now for people to get a real good idea as far as what
it's going to look like," said Bill Renk, Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
"We'll be going to such things as foundation work on the hotel pool and
beginning to drive at the framing and interior wall layout and finishing up the
structural steel erection on the casino."
The project received final approval from the Illinois Gaming Board last July
23rd and construction began in October. The new structure is located on a
110-acre site at Interstate 280 and Illinois 92 and overlooks a lake.
