A 20 story hotel maybe coming to the Coconut Creek Casino. The hotel project is being proposed by the Seminole Tribe. The hotel would offer 1,000 guest rooms and make it larger than the tribe's Seminole Hard Rock Hotel in Hollywood. If approved, it would make Coconut Creek a premier destination for gaming.

The hotel project also has designs for a theater with 2,500 seats. As well as additional gaming, shops, and dining.

Currently the first federal environmental review is being conducted. The state will have to review the results of the study and decide on other factors that may or may not allow the project to continue. One of those factors will be on the local economy.

A permanent 1,090 jobs will be created if the project is completed. A variety of different positions will need to be filled. Employees will be needed for marketing, security, and casino game operators, and housekeeping.

If approved, the hotel will be built on the 45 acres next to the tribe's current casino in Coconut Creek.
