Since the Seminole Hard Rock Casino opened in 2004, parking has remained a
drawback for visitors. Starting December 15, guest will now be able to enjoy a
new parking garage.
The nine story parking garage will be named "Winner's Way". It cost $50 million
to build. The garage was designed to shorten walks to the casino and make
parking much easier for guests.
Previously in a guest survey, 50% of visitors stated that parking had kept them
from visiting the casino. Parking issues have always been a consideration for
the casino. Guests would have to walk 20 minutes to get to the gaming facility.
With the weather in Florida, hot and rainy can make a long walk uncomfortable.
In the peak season, the Hard Rock Casino can receive 40,000 guests a day. That
amount to a lot of car and pedestrian traffic. With the new parking garage guest
will be able to park closer. In addition they can avoid walking in the busy
casino traffic. Two pedestrian walk ways have been provided above the driving
cars.
Another feature of the new parking structure is private parking for high
rollers. Seven private parking spots will be available for them. When the car is
parked, a door will close behind the car. There will be a elevator that can be
accessed with a personal ID number on a keypad.
A giant LED screen will be located around the structures midsection. This will
be used to promote upcoming events and advertisements for the casino. The huge
screen will give the appearance of a video billboard.
With the addition of the parking structure, the Hard Rock Casino will now have
over 12,000 parking spaces. Over half of them will be located in covered
garages.
