If gluttony is one of the seven deadly sins, then it's time to embrace being sinful. From November 5 to 7, Foxwoods Resort Casino's Fourth Annual Food & Wine Festival, a three-day festival featuring nationally acclaimed chefs from Foxwoods and beyond, offers myriad gourmet culinary temptations to suit every taste and appetite.

Among the many celebrity chefs scheduled to participate in the weekend-long event are Craftsteak chef/owner Tom Colicchio; Michael Schlow of Alta Strada; Paragon's Scott Mickelson; David Burke Prime's David Burke; and Foxwoods' Franck Iglesias.

The Food & Wine Festival features a wide variety of culinary events, from book signings, cooking demonstrations, and seminars to cocktail receptions, luncheons, tastings, and celebrity chef dinners. Highlights of the weekend include a Welcome Cocktail Reception & Gala Dinner at the MGM Grand's Celebrity Ballroom, hosted by the Food Network's Sunny Anderson, Anne Burrell, and Alex Guarnaschelli, followed by an exclusive event for 100 ticketed guests at the newly-opened High Rollers Luxury Lanes & Lounge, which turns into an exclusive VIP Party hosted by Big Night Entertainment's Chef Kevin Long and High Rollers' Chef Kevin Scott. The festival's signature event, the Grand Tasting, is held on Saturday and Sunday and features a walk-around food and wine tasting, demonstrations, and book signings.

Several restaurants will host celebrity chef dinners featuring special guests, among them Craftsteak (with chef/owner Tom Colicchio and Hearth's Marco Canora), Alta Strada (with Anne Burrell, Stella's Evan Deluty, Pigalle's Marc Orfaly, and Dante's Dante de Magistris), and Paragon (with Alex Guarnaschelli).

For those whose wine tastes are bigger than their budgets, Yankee magazine food editor Annie Copps conducts a wine seminar titled "What Price Will You Pay … for Great Wine?" featuring a blind tasting of six wines at different price points. Also on the beverage front, Anheuser-Busch brewmaster Matt Morganthaler leads "Beer: An Expedition of Taste," featuring a variety of ales and lagers.

Other culinary highlights include a wine seminar on the best Italian wines with food pairings, led by Joe Bastianich; a Bon Bon Boogie Bash featuring dessert, wines, spirits, and dancing; an epicurean luncheon at David Burke Prime featuring David Burke himself with guest chefs Susur Lee (Shang/Top Chef Masters) and Casey Thompson (Top Chef All-Stars); and Sunday brunches at Cedars, Alta Strada, and David Burke Prime.

Event sponsors of the fourth annual Foxwoods Food & Wine Festival include Anheuser-Busch, Moët Hennessy USA, FIJI Water, Delia Inc. and Viking Range Corporation.
