PRESS RELEASE
October 06, 2016
From San Diego to San Luis Obispo, big or small, every casino was on the ballot,
including Soboba Casino in San Jacinto, California. Thousands of SoCal gamers
voted, and now the results are in.
For the first time ever, Soboba Casino has not only taken one of the prestigious
first place titles, but has also received recognition in three additional
categories among the reader's choice poll, marking the first year that Soboba
has been recognized.
Southern California voters awarded Soboba Casino first place in the "Best
Promotions" category.
Coming in first for "Best Promotions" marks the second time this year that
Soboba Casino has been recognized for their impressive floor promotions and
creative concepts, both regionally and nationally. While operating in a much
smaller property than the majority of their surrounding competitors, Soboba
refuses to fall behind in this highly competitive industry and truly
differentiates themselves with engaging, innovative and sometimes wild events
and promos.
Soboba Casino has also been recognized in the categories of "Best Slot
Tournaments", "Best Casino Website" and finally "Luckiest Casino," a term coined
long ago by Soboba locals, now made official by the readers of the Gaming Guide.
"We are thrilled and honored to receive such great recognition from the most
valued of all judges, our guests," stated Scott Sirois, General Manager at
Soboba Casino. He continued, "we were delighted to receive the winning results.
Our team sees this as achieving yet another milestone in maintaining our high
standards, but we will not stop here. We will continue surpassing our own
expectations, and the expectations of our guests by "treating people the way we
would want to be treated". The best is yet to come!"
What Soboba guests are expecting now is the shaved head of Michael J. Broderick,
Director of Marketing at Soboba Casino.
While advocating for the Soboba vote, Broderick (AKA "The Boss") promised guests
that if Soboba Casino won first place in any category for the 2016 poll, he
would have his head shaved in the casino's AC's Lounge while broadcasting it in
real time on Facebook Live! Luckily those eager to see the hair go and join in
on the festivities, won't have long to wait. The "Buzz Cut Bonanza" has been
scheduled for November 3rd at 7:00 PM.
When asked how he felt about the impending groom, Broderick stated "I am nervous
to see it go, but getting to be a part of an award winning team makes cutting it
all off just seem worth it."
Soboba Casino features approximately 2,000 of the newest, hottest slot machines,
an expansive and modern non-smoking room, 20 classic gaming tables featuring all
your favorite card games, and a large outdoor event arena which easily
accommodates over 10,000 people. Need to recharge & refresh? Visit the cozy
Soboba Cafe and Coffee Kiicha, or experience AC's Lounge with full cocktail bar
and three giant HD flat screens including the "Sobobatron", the Inland Empire's
