Plans for a new casino resort have been announced to be developed in Jamul.
Penn National Gaming Inc has joined with the Jamul Indian Village to build the project. When complete the casino will be part of the Hollywood casino family.
The casino will be located in San Diego County on 6 acres of tribal land. After the casino is built, Penn National has agreed to oversee the gaming operations.
Plans include a three story gaming venue. 50 gaming tables and 1,700 video machines will be in operation. There are also plans for a 1,900 parking structure.
It is estimated that the gaming facility will cost $360 million to build. Construction is scheduled to begin the end of this year. It will also take 2 years to complete.
