May 24, 2011
An 89-year old Point Loma woman recently won $307,287 playing a Wheel of
Fortune® MegaJackpot® one-dollar machine at Barona Resort & Casino.
"The jackpot was a complete shock," said retired school teacher Diana Q. "I'd
only been in the casino for about ten minutes and sat down at the machine to
play. A couple of spins later, I was a big winner and it was such a surprise. I
plan to have a lot of fun with the money."
The Wheel of Fortune® one-dollar progressive has a starting jackpot of $300,000
and features an exciting bonus spin that has come to be one of the favorite
aspects of the game for players and fans alike. In order to win the MegaJackpot®,
players attempt to line up the Wheel of Fortune® symbols on the machine's
payline.
"Our players love our loose slots and progressive jackpots," said Rick Salinas,
general manager of Barona Resort & Casino. "We're thrilled to see Diana
experience an exciting Barona moment."
