With the release of the environmental impact statement, the Enterprise Rancheria project is one step closer to happening. The Estom Yumeka Maidu are the tribe behind the newest casino hotel project. A tribal representative stated this will be the largest commercial project for the last 10 years in Yuba County.
The project will be built on 40 acres off Highway 65 and Forty Mile Road. In addition to the new casino hotel, plans also include restaurants, shops, a spa, and a conference center. New jobs will be created for the construction and during operation. This will earn an estimated $32 million annually for the county in payroll and benefits.
On September 7, the Federal Bureau of Indian Affairs will meet to decide if the project can continue.
