A bill was introduced this week by two Arizona senators. The measure would stop
the development of new casinos in Phoenix's metro area.
Senator Jeff Flake and Senator John McCain proposed the bill. The intention is
to prevent the building of the Glendale casino by the Tohono O'odham Nation. The
tribe has been trying to build the controversial casino in the Westgate
Contractors for the new casino were announced yesterday by the tribe.
