PRESS RELEASE
November 15, 2012
Casino Arizona's impressive new 26,000-square-foot bingo hall made its highly
anticipated debut on Nov. 8. The opening was marked with an official ribbon
cutting that included Pima-Maricopa tribal officials, members of the Gaming
Enterprise Board and casino executives and staff.
"After much planning and anticipation, Bingo has returned to Casino Arizona,"
said Eric Ramsey, Bingo Manager at Casino Arizona. "The resulting Bingo Hall is
not only beautiful, but continues our tradition of providing guests with the
highest quality of gaming by ensuring we have the most advanced systems in
place."
The 1,000-seat, state-of-the-art room operates on a no-touch system. All bingo
draws are digital, and players have the option of playing with an electronic
bingo machine, in which the system can read up to 2000 cards at a time or
traditionally by using a dauber and paper cards.
In addition to top-notch technology, guest comfort was a chief priority in the
conception of the new room. There is both a smoking section and an enclosed
glass non-smoking section available. It boasts a full service kitchen, large
flat screen televisions and a four-sided arena-sized scoreboard. Special
attention was also paid to the decor in room to pay homage to the Salt River
Pima-Maricopa Indian Community.
"As an enterprise of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, it was
important that the Bingo Hall honored the culture of the Community," said Ramon
Martinez, director of public relations for Casino Arizona. "Cultural details are
apparent throughout the room, from the art on the walls to the paint on the
ceiling."
The Bingo Hall showcases a new collection of art created and submitted by
members of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community. Among the 20 pieces
included in the collection are paintings, textiles and historic artifacts.
Further, the Community Great Seal was painted on the ceiling, prominently
featured with a dazzling light display.
The Bingo Hall is the latest addition to Casino Arizona's overall renovation
project. Accomplished architecture firm, Seaver Franks Architects AIA, was
inspired by the Southwest's rich history and environment in the design of the
Hall. While contracting industry leader, Kitchell Corporation, completed the
construction phase, which began Dec. 2011.
In celebration of the opening, Casino Arizona launched the Bingo Bonus Days
promotion. Now through Dec. 7., registered Player Rewards Club members who play
bingo will automatically be entered into daily $1,000 drawings. On Dec. 8, one
lucky player will win a brand new Ford Focus.
Casino Arizona's Bingo Hall is open daily. Evening games run from 6:30 - 10 p.m.
Matinee games run Saturday and Sunday 12:30 -3:30 p.m. L8 Nite Bingo offers an
exciting nightclub feel every Friday and Saturday night from midnight to 2 a.m.
and will feature a live DJ.
