Kingston Casino Resort is the name of the project. It will include a 9,600-square-foot gaming floor with 300 gaming machines, restaurants, a 40-room hotel and 10 lakefront rental cabins.
The project is awaiting a final decision from the U.S. Department of Interior to transfer the land into federal trust allowing a casino to be built under the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act. Last month an enviromental impact report was published by the Bureau of Indian Affairs. This report will be followed by a public hearing and comments before the Interior Department gives its final approval.
