Rain Rock Casino Hotel Resort

Rain Rock Casino opened its new casino on April 17, 2018. Rain Rock is an Indian gaming casino owned by the Northern California Karuk Tribe. The casino is located in southeast Yreka, California, on a 60-acre site east of Interstate 5 exit 773.

In December 2013 the Karuk Tribe signed a gaming compact with Gov. Brown, which authorizes up to a maximum of 1,500 slot machines at this casino. The State Assembly ratified the compact on August 19, 2014. There are also signed agreements with the city of Yreka and the California Department of Transportation.

The Rain Rock Casino project was planned in 2 phases. Phase 1 is finished and open for visitors. Phase 2 will add 20,000 square feet of gaming space (56,000 total), 300 additional slot machines, 8 additional table games, an 80-room, 46,000 sq-ft hotel and 500 additional parking spaces.

Rain Rock Casino breaks ground on Yreka resort

The Karuk Tribe broke ground this week on new construction to transform Rain Rock Casino into a destination resort in Yreka, California. The construction project will add an 80-room hotel with a luxury pool, VIP cabins and a convention center. The resort will open in 2024.

The expansion of Rain Rock Casino into a resort with a hotel and convention center will help the Karuk Tribe self-govern and provide more self-sufficiency for the tribe. The expansion will also create new economic opportunities for Yreka and Siskiyou County.

Rain Rock Casino opened in Feb 2018

The Karuk Tribe plan to open their new casino in Yreka in February. The Rain Rock Casino is 36,000 square feet and will feature 500 slot machines, 8 table games and a restaurant.

A gaming compact was agreed upon in 2013. Soon after plans were in the works for the casino.

Construction of Rain Rock was planned in two phases. The casino building was phase 1 and is opening now. It includes the casino, parking and a restaurant with seating for 100 guests. .

The second phase of development will include a hotel with 80 guest rooms plus 20,000 square feet added to the casino floor. The additional casino space will accomodate 300 more slot machines and 8 more table games. This phase will also add more parking.
