April 4, 2009 ETHETE, WY – The Northern Arapaho Tribe celebrated the grand opening today of their Little Wind Casino. A ribbon cutting ceremony was held at 2:00 pm followed by a feast. The new casino is located a half mile north of Ethete on the Blue Sky Highway (state highway 132). It is 12,000 square feet with 173 Vegas-style slot machines. The casino also features a restaurant called the Morning Star. Previously the casino operated in the Ethete Store and Deli. Jim Conrad, the casino general manager, said “We are very excited about this new facility, because it now gives folks in the Fort Washakie, Ethete, Kinnear and Pavillion areas more entertainment options, including a new restaurant, which will feature steaks. There hasn’t been a full-service restaurant in Ethete in many years.” The Northern Arapaho Tribe on the Wind River Indian Reservation operate three casinos including the Little Wind Casino. They operate the Wind River Casino and the 789 Smoke Shop and Casino, which are both located south of Riverton off Highway 789. Return to Wyoming Casinos. |
