North Star Casino plans expansion |

July 30, 2009 GREEN BAY, WI - The Stockbridge Munsee Tribe is receiving a loan of $48 million from the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community of Minnesota for the purpose of expanding their North Star Casino in Bowler, Wisconsin. Bowler is located between Green Bay and Wausau. The loan to the Stockbridge Munsee Tribe will be used to add 105 hotel rooms, more gaming space, two restaurants, and additional administrative space. It will also pay off the casino's existing debt. Construction is expected to start this fall and take 18 months to complete. Return to Wisconsin Casinos. |
