The Menominee Tribe announced plans to spend $80 million to renovate their casino in Keshena. They hopes the investment will keep their facility competitive with the recent improvements at nearby tribal casinos in northern Wisconsin. Work will begin soon to add more slot machines and expand the hotel.

Tribal Chairwoman Lisa Waukau said their business consultants had recommended the investment to avoid losing up to 25% of their business to the Mohican North Star Casino, the Mole Lake Casino, and the Northern Lights Casino.

  • 230 new slot machines (currently 800)
  • Expand an existing hotel
  • Add a new pool, restaurant and convention space Add 60-70 new jobs (currently 500 employees)
