The Meadows to open permanent casino April 15 |

March 20, 2009 The Meadows Racetrack & Casino plans to open its $175 million permanent slot machine casino on at 10 a.m. April 15th. Officials will test operations on April 13, with proceeds benefiting volunteer fire departments in Washington County. The operations test must pass for the casino to open on schedule. The Meadows' has operated a temporary slots parlor with 1,825 slot machines since June 2007. The new facility will feature more than 3,700 machines plus more dining and entertainment venues and a new area to watch and bet on harness racing. The casino will open at 10 a.m. April 15 if the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board is satisfied with the test run. Return to Pennsylvania Casinos. |
