FLORENCE, OR - A Florence woman won a jackpot of $1,078,050.18 after an hour of playing penny slots. She was playing the $3 maximum on a penny slot machine when she won. The woman is retired and asked that her identity be undisclosed.

Last March there was a $5 million jackpot winner at the casino. That player won on progressive slots that are linked electronically between multiple casinos. The total won by players at the Three Rivers Casino in the past 5 months now exceeds $7 million.

The number of visitors to Three Rivers is higher in recent months. The
casino COO Mike Rose believes a lot of residents from Lane County and nearby areas are taking more "staycations" due to the current economy.
