Thunderbird Casino to Open August 11

Pottawatomie County is about to have a new casino open next week.

The new Thunderbird Casino will be located in Shawnee. It is owned by the Absentee Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma. 60 new jobs have been created for the area due to this project. Guests will enjoy 250 slot machines. There will also be a dining area and full service cocktails. During the grand opening celebration, guest can enjoy live music. Smilin Vic is scheduled to perform.

The grand opening is planned for August 11.
