Tonkawa Tribe sued by Gaughan Gaming
March 28, 2011
An Oklahoma Indian tribe is being sued by a management company from Las Vegas.
The company, Gaughan Gaming, states that the Tonkawa Tribe of Oklahoma is in
violation of agreements in management.
John Gaughan is the owner of Gaughan Gaming. He was managing two casinos for the
tribe. The City Lights Casino and the Tonkawa Indian Casino.
Gaughan claims that the Tonkawa Tribe took over control of their casinos and
forced Gaughan out of his position. The suit claims that management contracts
were broken by the tribe.
An attorney for the tribe states that they are trying to resolve the lawsuit and
continue the current arbitration.
