Horseshoe Casino Cleveland Has More Checks before Approved to Open
April 19, 2012
Next month, Horseshoe Casino Cleveland, is the scheduled to open. This will be
Ohio’s first casino in the state. However the company that operates the casino,
Rock Ohio Caesars, is on the defense to obtain the necessary gaming license.
A meeting was held with the Ohio Casino Control Commission on Thursday.
Representatives for the casino were there to give a report on the casino plans
as well as the financial stability of Caesars Entertainment Corporation. The
Commission was previously advised by a gaming consultant that the amount of debt
Caesars Entertainment Corporation carries may be a problem for the future
success of the Horseshoe Casino.
A background check of the company is scheduled to review finances and if any
criminal reports of the company. After this is completed, the commission will
decided if the casino will open as scheduled.
The Ohio Casino Control Commission is due to meet again the first week of May.
Return to Ohio Casinos.
