Rock Ohio Caesars Resumes Construction on Casino

June 11, 2011

An agreement with Rock Ohio Caesars LLC., and Governor John Kasich has been made. A statement was release on Saturday from the governor’s office announcing the agreement. Construction on the new casino project will resume.

Last month construction of the Broadway Commons was stopped by the Ohio casino Developer. This was based on a disagreement with the Governor over taxes.

Next week is when the details of the agreement will be release. This is expected to include details of payments to the state.

The governor’s office also stated that they are in talks with Penn National Gaming. They hope to reach an agreement soon as well.
