Ballot Board approves wording of casino measure for Nov ballot
August 18, 2009
COLUMBUS - The Ohio Ballot Board today approved the wording of a proposed
constitutional amendment to license casinos in four Ohio cities: Cleveland,
Cincinnati, Columbus and Toledo.
The ballot measure says the casinos may operate 24 hours a day, seven days a
week, and may offer any casino games approved by Pennsylvania, Michigan, West
Virginia and Indiana in the future.
Also today Gov. Ted Strickland signed an executive order immediately adopting
rules for slot machines at race tracks that allow 24-hour operations and sets
the minimum age to play at 18 years of age.
Return to Ohio Casinos.
