Nambé Pueblo Downscales Plan for Casino

March 24, 2008

LAS VEGAS - Full House Resorts, a developer and manager of gaming facilities, has ended its efforts with the Nambé Pueblo of New Mexico to build a casino resort. The company has worked with the Pueblo since 2005 to develop a project on tribal land for a casino and hotel with retail and commercial operations.

Since that time there have been several factors impacting the project:

  • Changes in the tribal leadership
  • Expansion of the nearby Buffalo Thunder Casino Resort
  • Current market conditions

As a result the Pueblo leadership has backed off their plan for a casino resort and now will pursue an alternative plan to develop a travel center with a small slot parlor.
