ST. LOUIS, MO -

Pinnacle Entertainment Inc. announced their selection of a general contractor for the casino project at River City. . Yates/Paric, a joint venture involving W.G. Yates & Sons Construction and Paric Corp, will begin the first phase of construction on 80 acres that Pinnacle leased from the St. Louis County Port authority in Lemay. The site is 10 miles from St. Louis in the southern portion of St. Louis County.

Phase I include a 90,000-square-foot casino, restaurants, and a multi-use center. It will be completed in 18 months.

Phase II includes a hotel with 100 rooms at a cost of $75 million. It will be completed within 3 years of the casino’s opening per the agreement with the Port Authority.

This is Pinnacles second casino project in the St. Louis area. Last December it opened its $507 million Lumiere Place casino hotel in Downtown St. Louis.
