Tunica Reopens 9 Casinos

The waters from the Mississippi River are starting to go down again. The Tunica
Casinos that were forced to close due to flooding are preparing to reopen. The
nine flooded casinos are planning on reopening by this weekend.
Sam’s Town and Hollywood Casino reopened on Wednesday. At noon on Thursday
Resorts Casino reopened. Followed by Fitz, Bally’s, and Harrah’s on Friday. Last
week, Roadhouse, Horseshoe, and Gold Strike reopened.
Casinos in other areas will remain closed until the floodwater drops further.
May gaming revenues are expected to be down due to the heavy flooding. The
report will be release in June.
