Biloxi Mayor approves casino proposalBILOXI, MX - Mayor A. J. Holloway gave his approval this week to a new casino on the Biloxi Strip. He believes the zoning change will not promote additional casinos along the waterfront because there is already considerable construction underway in the area. The building projects include hotels and condominiums on both sides of the casino. The City Council had earlier ratified a zoning change for the casino plan. Now the next step is to apply to the Mississippi Gaming Commission for the casino license. The commission’s approval is expected with this local approval. Return to Mississippi Casinos. |
