Petition to build more casinos in Michigan submitted

A petition to build additional casinos in Michigan has been submitted. The measure will be on the November ballot for state residents to vote on.

If the measure is passed by voters, new casinos could be built in 8 areas. Some of the possible cities include: Grand Rapids, Detroit, Birch Run, Pontiac, and Romulus.

The group behind the measure is the Citizens for More Michigan Jobs. The activists were able to obtain over 500,000 signatures in favor of the measure. Only 322,609 signatures were needed for submission.
