A Press conference will be taking place today in Romulus to discuss the possibility of opening new casinos in Michigan. Supporters of the plan will be meeting to discuss the possibility of the new projects that, if approved, would be built in seven different cities across the state.

Supporters are hoping to increase the economy in the state with the purposed new casinos. The group is hoping for a ballot initiative.

2010 the state denied the ballot to pass. The casino effort then had failed.

Casino cities include Grand Rapids, Detroit, and Lansing. As well as, Mt Clemens, Saginaw, Benton Harbor, and Romulus.

If new casinos were to be built, it would require state voter approval.
