October 26, 2007
MICHIGAN – The Grand River Band of Ottawa Indians presented plans for a $2.4
billion downtown Muskegon casino resort on waterfront property. It would be
located on 70 acres along Lakeshore Boulevard.
This plan follows a ballot initiative passed by the voters of Muskegon in
2003 to support the casino. The next step is federal recognition of the
Grand River Band of Ottawa Indians which is pending.
