A special meeting was scheduled for today. Members of the Bossier City Council are due to decide if the city should sell land for a new casino near the Louisiana Boardwalk. The casino license would come from Paradise Casino. They are the holder of a license that is currently unused. If the City Council approves the sale of the land, it will have to have additional approval before the project can move forward. The state gaming control board would be the next step. The Bossier parish voters will also have a say in the project. Gaming expansion will also have to be approved by the voters. Currently there are 3 riverboat casinos, and Louisiana Downs Racetrack and Casino in operation. Return to Louisiana Casinos. |
