Casino Omaha will reopen Dec 15

November 12, 2010

On December 15 Casino Omaha will open their doors again.

The gaming facility will offer visitors 420 coinless slot machines. New restrooms have also been installed. There will also be a snack bar available. Currently the restaurant is being remodeled and for now will remain closed. The casino will be open on week days from 8AM to 2AM. On the weekends operation hours are extended to 24 hours.

Casino Omaha plan to hire 90 employees. 23 so far have been hired. Hiring preference is going to Native Americans.

The casino closed the first time in June 2009. Issues with previous management and a declining recession were the cause of this. Since that time the casino owners, The Omaha Tribe of Nebraska, have restructured and remolded their internal operations.

Tuesday the National Indian Gaming Commission completed its inspection of the casino. The casino passed and is preparing for the reopening.
