There was a groundbreaking ceremony today at Hoosier Park for construction of the $30 million casino which is scheduled to open next June. The 92,000-square-foot casino will feature 2,000 electronic gaming machines including electronic poker, blackjack, roulette, and craps.

The other pari-mutuel horse track authorized by the state assembly to install electronic gaming devices is Indiana Downs. They will open a temporary casino in April 2008.
