FORT HALL, ID - The Shoshone-Bannock Fort Hall Business Council unveiled plans to build two new casinos..

  • Location Exit 89
    The first casino will be just off I-15, Exit 89, near Blackfoot. It will include a convenience store on one side of the property and a casino closed off in the other side. There will also be a gas station and café.
    The cost will be $3-$5 million. Groundbreaking will be in two weeks and the facility will open sometime next year.
     
  • Location Exit 80
    The larger casino will be off Exit 80 adjacent to the current casino, where the Trading Post now sits. It will include 1,300 slot machines, a 200-room resort hotel, a convention center, four restaurants, and retail stores. A second phase will add a water park and golf course. The estimated cost is $90-million. It will open in 2011.
